Lucy has worked in the fields of sound, design, cultural development and creative consultancy. In 2012, her first film – Stop:Go – was a shortlist winner for the UK nationwide amateur documentary competition (mystreetfilms.com) and she has since gone on to develop a career as a filmmaker and media producer.

Originally trained as a musician, she graduated from Music at the University of Edinburgh in 2000 (First Class), continuing studies with an MA in Ethnomusicology City University, London.  As a professional vocalist, projects have included broadcasts on BBC Radio 2 and 3, a collaboration with writer Jackie Kay (Life Mask) and live accompaniment to silent film, including The Goddess (Yonggang Wu, 1934) for Cinema China at the Filmhouse Cinema, Edinburgh.
